Lutz, Selig & Zeronda Attends AICPA Conference

Lutz, Selig & Zeronda Partners, William Lutz, CPA and Jeff Klahr, CPA along with Principal, Evan Chamberas, CPA and Senior Associate, Dominic Razzano recently attended the Employee Benefit Plan Conference put on by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

The conference took place in Nashville, Tennessee from May 9 – 11. The team had the opportunity to network with other audit professionals, attend professional development seminars and listen to some great local and live music during their downtime. This year, employee benefit plan experts spoke on a variety of subjects, including new reporting standards and cybersecurity breaches.

“We were very pleased to have someone from every level of our EBP Team attend this year,” said Jeff. “As accounting professionals, it’s paramount that we constantly seek to grow our knowledge and stay up to date on the latest DOL and IRS guidelines. Conferences such as this one are a great means of pursuing our continued education.”

The AICPA established the member-based Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center to raise awareness about the importance of employee benefit plan audits and to help firms meet the challenges of performing quality audits. As a member, Lutz, Selig & Zeronda has access to EBPA best practices, guidelines, and the most up-to-date tools needed to maintain a high level of technical expertise and innovation.
