Lutz, Selig & Zeronda Attends the 2018 NYSBCA Convention
Lutz, Selig & Zeronda, CPAs, L.L.P. team members attended the 2018 New York School Bus Contractors Association’s (NYSBCA) Convention in Port Jefferson, NY from October 12-13. The event included a variety of educational sessions, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities.
Included in this year’s speaker line-up was Lutz, Selig & Zeronda, CPAs, L.L.P. Partner Jeffrey Klahr. His presentation — “Recent Tax Reform, What’s New”— covered the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as it pertains to bus contractors.
“I thoroughly enjoyed attending this year’s conference and was happy to be included as a speaker,” said Klahr. “Tax reform is impacting almost every industry, and transportation services are certainly no exception. We’re glad we could play a role in helping bus contractors understand how the changes affect their business.”
Established in 1950, today the NYSBCA is comprised of almost 100 school transportation service companies. The chief mission of the organization is “promoting safe, reliable, and cost-effective student transportation in New York State.” This year’s NYSBCA convention was the organization’s 64th annual gathering.
