Employee Spotlight: Alex Barrese Promoted to Senior Associate at Lutz, Selig & Zeronda, CPAs, LLP

We are proud to announce the promotion of Alex Barrese, to Senior Associate at Lutz, Selig & Zeronda, CPAs, LLP. Since joining the firm in 2024, Alex has continued to expand his technical knowledge and experience while demonstrating a strong commitment to quality work and client service. 

Alex works on a variety of audit, review, and compilation engagements for privately held businesses, with experience serving clients in the construction, transportation, and service industries. He assists with engagement planning, audit procedures, financial statement testing, and analytical review procedures, contributing to engagements from planning through completion. 

Throughout his time with the firm, Alex has gained experience working with multi-entity organizations and performing revenue and expense testing, cash and debt procedures, account reconciliations, and other areas of financial statement analysis. His attention to detail and continued technical development have made him a valuable member of the LS&Z team. 

Alex is a graduate of Siena University, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting. Outside of work, Alex enjoys camping, playing pickleball, and traveling. He is also a New York Yankees fan and enjoys visiting New Paltz. One book that has influenced his perspective is Atomic Habits by James Clear, which reinforced for him the importance of making small, consistent improvements over time to achieve larger goals. 

Alex’s promotion from Associate to Senior Associate recognizes his continued growth, dedication, and contributions to the firm and its clients. We are pleased to celebrate this next step in his career and look forward to seeing him continue to develop in his new role.
