LCS&Z Volunteers Together

In addition to encouraging staff to be active members of the community, LCS&Z takes time as a firm each year to serve the community. On June 23, 2016, this year’s 4th Annual Community Day was spent volunteering at the Regional Foodbank of Northeastern New York, located in Latham.

Established in 1982, The Regional Food Bank has been serving the community’s hungry for over 30 years. The food bank provides services through collection of donations from the food industry and also operates a farm that grows fresh, high quality vegetables. The food bank distributes donated food and supplies and produce from the farm to over 1,000 agencies in 23 different counties, over 30 million pounds of food in total each year.

The volunteers from LCS&Z sorted food that had recently been donated so that it could be shipped and distributed to different agencies supplied by the food bank, such as soup kitchens, food pantries, emergency shelters, and other programs.

LCS&Z is proud of the staff members who gave their time and worked hard to serve the less fortunate in the community!
